Chapel Street Primary report to OFSTED about PE & School Sport
Many thanks Chris Gough for his report back on Ofsted’s questions re: PE & School Sport. Here’s what Chris had to say…
We have just had a one day OFSTED inspection and a 2 day HMI inspection. This is what HMI wanted to know/their questions:
“If I am a child who isn’t interested in sports, what do you offer me to get me active?”
“How much money are you allocated each year?”
“How do you organise your money and what is it spent on?”
What success have you celebrated through sports?”
Their main focus was on offering a diverse range of clubs that were accessible to everyone and they were really impressed with my answers focusing on sustainability by uplevelling staff to deliver clubs rather than getting lots of coaches in to cover PPA. They were also impressed with Sainsbury’s School Games Marks. They also wanted to look at my paper work covering targets, spending records and ‘trackable’ statistics.
