Boccia Sports Leadership Training took place at Leveneshulme HS in preparation for the Primary and Secondary Boccia Championships.

“Sports Leadership is an important part of PE here at Levenshulme High School,” said Miss Gore, Head of PE, “and our girls are excellent Sports Leaders.”

With 23 schools due to take part in the event, the girls stayed behind after school to learn how to play, coach and officiate Boccia.

“Sports Leaders are crucial for so many of our School Games Competitions. They have to understand the sport, how to communicate effectively to teachers and children. Officiating requires maturity and calmness. The girls are looking forward to the event, they will be fantastic!” said School Games Orgaiser, Martin Wright.
